I’m in the UK for a couple of years and I need a phone. I would like to get a blackberry and then take it back to Canada with me, but am unsure if I can “unlock” it or whatever to use it back home.

Yes, you can easily get that phone unlocked and it shouldnt cost you anything more than $ 30, and thats MAX. You can get it unlocked and use it anywhere you would like, as long as you have a sim card to put into it in your area…
