how to unlock my blackberry?

Question by Vicky: how to unlock my blackberry?
I added a password to my blackberry so people could not look at my messages, and my friend earlier was messing around trying to guess it and went over the set number of attempts, now it doesn’t say enter password but “type blackberry” but if i does this it will erase everthing on my phone, which is all mny numbers, pictures, texts ect… and i really don’t want to have to do that. So please help?

If you have exceeded the maximum number of attempts, there is no way around having the device wipe itself. It is a security feature to prevent unlimited attempts. If you have created a back up file, you can restore the device afterward.

You may want to try running a back up using the BB Desktop Manager software first.

I dropped my blackberry in a tub of water by accident! A day or two later after letting it air out i got it to work completely. I have over 350 texts and over 100 missed calls and voicemails keep coming in! Stupid me but an unlock code and when i went to type in my password the “o” button wasnt working! so i figured i reset it by entering it 10 times but im to the point where it says, enter “blackberry” to continue. but i can only enter “blackby” because my “e” and “r” button arent working! most the of the first row of keys wont work. HELP! i need to unlock this phone someone, its my only one and i have no way of getting a new one. its been a week already

try linkin it up the comp see if it does n e think, or leave there battery out for awile the pop it bk in, if not u need to go get it repaired

The password seems to has been reset. I don’t know actually the reason and stuff. It keeps saying “enter BlackBerry” and anytime I do, it says “enter password”.. then i enter my password, and it keeps saying “wrong password”.. what should i do??

Im not sure if you have did a sim lock or something else. One thing for sure is that you are going to need to purchase software that will get the code for you out the phone. The store will not get the code for you becuase its a personnal number only the owner should know. You can ask a rep there they help

I put on a code on my blackberry storm and accidentally forgot the code. I tried 6/10 times already and my phone asks me to put in “blackberry” to continue making emergency calls. I am from the Philippines and the emergency number is a US number. How can I unlock my phone again so I can use it? Please help!!!

RIM Blackberry on Ebay?

I’m looking for an Blackberry on ebay
and seeing as i dont really wanna pay THAT much I’ve been looking at all the listings and
its all “RIM UNLOCKED BLACKBERRY”
I just have a question about RIM.
I know its Research in motion or something but im with rogers so would I be able to insert my sim card and use the phone?
and it says its unlocked.
should i ask the buyer any questions before purchasing?

An unlocked Blackberry can be used with Rogers. Make sure the seller has a high positive feedback percentage as a seller and make sure there’s a decent return policy.

I have a blackberry curve and the WiFi turned off..?

I had my blackberry in my bookbag and a lot of buttons got pressed.. then it said: Enter “blackberry” to unlock,” which I did. Now the WiFi is off and I can’t send/receive bbms.

How do I turn it on again?

Go to your Options. Scroll all the way to the bottom and select WiFi

from forums..im getting its about using less minutes out of the country or something to that effect…Can someone give me a better description of what i m doing if i unlock my blackberry?…ty in advance

most cell phones are sold “locked” to a certain phone company

for example the bold is sold only for at&t, if you wanted to use it for t-mobile then youd first have to unlock it (not sure about this process) and then afterward you’d be able to use it on any other phone company

but in most case it will only work with gsm phones (at&t or t-mobile)because they use sim-cards thus only requiring that to be usuable

I locked my phone, and couldnt remember the password. I typed multiple times, then it came up with “you must first enter blackberry” so I tried, come to find out my “c” button is broken! AHHH! help!!! It wont go away!

it wont go away. unless you unlock it. and since your “c” button is broken you won’t be able to. You will most likely have to go get it fixed at the store
